With the fourth series of Star Trek: The Next Generation action figures now on sale, we’re pleased to officially announce the next release featuring this iconic series. Based on their appearances on both the small and large screens, Series 5 will feature Star Trek: Nemesis Dr. Crusher, Season 7 O’Brien and the limited Nurse Ogawa in addition to a Diamond Previews Exclusive Ro Laren!

Dr. Beverly Crusher has served under Captain Jean-Luc Picard for more than a decade and never fails to deliver when her medical expertise is needed. Miles O’Brien served with distinction as Transporter Chief aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise before transferring to Deep Space Nine. Alyssa Ogawa served as a head nurse and quickly advanced to handle the more advanced medical emergencies, even becoming the Chief Medical Officer in an alternate reality! Ro Laren, a Bajoran nationalist, was court-martialed due to a disastrous away team before serving Captain Picard aboard the Enterprise and finding a continued purpose within Starfleet.

You can expect the same articulation featured in the previous Star Trek: The Next Generation figures, with incredible attention to detail and series-accurate accessories. Further details will be announced as the early 2008 release date approaches!

The actual anniversary of the first STAR TREK broadcast will occur on September 8th, 2006 - a date which will be greeted with fan gatherings and conventions around the globe.

40th Anniversary of Star Trek Brings New Figures!

With the Star Trek franchise's 40th anniversary celebration beginning on September 8th, we at Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum are excited to announce plans to commemorate this historic occasion with several action figures and collectibles! Beginning at this year's San Diego Comic Con, fans will be able to buy products specifically geared toward the original Star Trek series as well as the ongoing Star Trek: The Next Generation line.

The first of several special announcements involves the completion of a line that some fans thought would never be completed. Four exclusive action figures from the classic episode "Mirror Mirror" will be made available at San Diego Comic Con! "Mirror Mirror" Uhura, McCoy, Sulu and Chekov will round out the previous releases including Kirk, Spock and Scotty figures! Each figure will be exclusive to a different retailer, with all four making their debuts in San Diego.

Images of these upcoming exclusive figures will be available after the upcoming American International Toy Fair with prototypes displayed at several conventions leading up to the Comic Con launch. In scale with the previously released "Mirror Mirror" figures and featuring the same articulation, these Art Asylum-designed figures are sure to please fans and retailers alike. The first Klingon to join Starfleet, Worf has always struggled to reconcile his Klingon heritage with his human upbringing. Upon meeting a warrior claiming to be the resurrected Emperor Kahless, Worf’s faith is truly put to the test.
